Costco party platters in Canada (2026): prices, what to buy, and whether Costco caters

Costco party platters in Canada are ready-made trays you pick up in the warehouse: the Kirkland Signature shrimp ring at $29.99, sushi platters from $21.99, a meat and cheese platter at $49.99 and a $24.99 sheet cake for dessert. Costco Canada doesn't advertise catering, and we found no Canadian source for ordering platters ahead, so plan to buy the day before. Below is every platter the Costco West and Costco East fan blogs photographed from October 2024 to October 2026.

Which party platters does Costco Canada sell?

Prices as photographed. Most platters were seen in Western warehouses (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba), and the shrimp ring in Ontario and Atlantic Canada; the blogs don't photograph every case, so check your warehouse:

Smaller party add-ons show up too: Fantino and Mondello charcuterie kits at $11.99 for five, a Ficacci olive platter at $12.99 to $13.99 ($9.99 on sale in October 2026), and frozen vegetable spring rolls, 50 for $14.99.

Can you order platters or catering from Costco in Canada?

Not that we could confirm. The platter order forms, kiosks and catering menus you'll find online are from US Costco warehouses; neither Canadian fan blog's deli or bakery posts mention ordering platters, and no Canadian news source we found describes it. If you need a specific platter for a set day, ask your warehouse's deli a few days before; otherwise, buy the day before and keep it cold.

Which Costco platter is the best value for a crowd?

By weight, the shrimp is close either way: the 2.5 kg shrimp platter works out to about $26.00 a kilo and the 1.13 kg shrimp ring about $26.54. The meat and cheese platter is about $20.83 a kilo, and the croissant sandwich platter about $18.51. The cheapest way to fill a table is the $19.99 fruit platter and $15.99 fresh cut vegetables, with the $24.99 sheet cake, over 4 kg, for dessert.

Our take: build the spread around one showpiece (shrimp or sushi), then fill it with the vegetables, fruit, croissants and a cake. That costs less than buying two or three of the big platters.

When does Costco have holiday platters?

• Thanksgiving (early October): Western warehouses show the shrimp, meat and cheese, croissant sandwich, fruit and vegetable platters, alongside pies and the sheet cake.
• Late October to November: the shrimp ring arrives in Ontario and Atlantic warehouses.
• December 1 to 23: holiday platters, fruit and cheese platters and sales on croissants and frozen wings. In 2025 the shrimp platter was $10 off from December 22 to 28 in both regions.
• Late January to early February: frozen wings and spring rolls go on sale, in time for game-day parties.

Christmas Eve and Boxing Day hours are shorter; check Costco Christmas hours before you plan a last-minute pickup.

How do you get party food home in time?

Platters are big, cold and easy to tip, so bring a cooler or an empty trunk. If you can't get to the warehouse, an independent local helper can do the run for you: a personal shopper buys the platters, cake and drinks at warehouse prices and brings them to your door, and bulk shopping and delivery suits a bigger event or an office party.
