Costco LEGO and toys in Canada (2026): set prices, sales and when to buy

Costco LEGO in Canada usually costs 18 to 24% less than the LEGO Shop Canada for the same set, before any sale: LEGO Ideas Home Alone was $299.99 at Costco in October 2026, against $379.99 at LEGO. Costco carries about a dozen sets at a time, mostly from September to January, then marks down what's left. Below: 10 sets with dated prices, the big toys, and when to buy.

How much is LEGO at Costco Canada?

Seen in Canadian warehouses from October 2024 to October 2026 (West: BC to Manitoba; East: Ontario and Atlantic Canada), with the LEGO Shop Canada price for the same set where we found one:

Costco's item number usually contains the LEGO set number (2521330 for set 21330), which is how to match a set to reviews and to LEGO's price. Prices from Costco West and Costco East fan blog posts (Costco East, Costco West); LEGO Shop Canada prices as logged by NowInStock in October 2026 (NowInStock); piece counts from Brickset.

Is LEGO cheaper at Costco?

Yes, at the regular price, for the sets both sell. The gap is widest on adult sets: the Hibiscus was 24% less, Van Gogh's Sunflowers and the Speed Champions Lamborghini pair 23% less.

Per piece, Home Alone works out to 7.6 cents, Van Gogh's Sunflowers to 7.6 cents and the Millennium Falcon to 9.8 cents. Two catches: Costco only has a few sets, and LEGO's own sales and member points can close the gap. Costco also sells new sets it hasn't marked down yet, like the $199.99 AT-AT that arrived in October 2026.

When does Costco put LEGO and toys on sale?

• September: toys arrive. The 2026 advent calendar was out on September 4 (Costco East), and the full toy aisle by September 9 and 10 (Costco East, Costco West).
• October and November: the big sets land. Instant savings start in November: 13 different toys and LEGO sets were on sale in November 2025.
• Black Friday to Christmas: the most savings, 17 different toys and sets in December 2025, like $50 off the Play N Glow table (Costco East).
• Boxing week: a few more, like $35 off the Mario Kart set between December 22 and 28, 2025 (Costco East).
• January to March: clearance at prices ending in .97, getting deeper each few weeks, like the Bluey ride-on at $69.97 in March 2025 (Costco West).

LEGO also goes on sale outside the holidays: $50 off Van Gogh's Sunflowers in September 2025 (Costco East) and $50 off the Pokémon Pikachu set in September 2026 (Costco West). If a set you bought goes on sale within 30 days, Costco's price adjustment can refund the difference: see Costco price adjustments. The LEGO advent calendar follows its own pattern, cleared at $19.97 by December 1, 2025: see Costco advent calendars.

What big toys does Costco sell?

Dollhouses, play kitchens and activity tables arrive in October with the rest of the toys; ride-ons are year-round but go deepest on clearance (Costco West, Costco East). Most come flat-packed: the KidKraft kitchens and tables are a couple of hours with a screwdriver.

Can someone pick up and build a big toy for you?

Yes. An independent local helper can do your Costco toy run, compare sets in the aisle or grab the one on sale before it's gone: a personal Costco shop is $45 for up to 90 minutes, at Flatcart's set price. For a play kitchen, dollhouse or activity table, furniture assembly is $99 an item, including taking the packaging away; that can be Christmas Eve, out of sight of the kids.
