Costco mattress in Canada (2026): every model, price by size, sale history and which to buy

The Costco mattress range in Canadian warehouses is small and goes on sale often: four brands, a dozen models, and every one we tracked was $50 to $250 off at least three times in the past year. A queen costs $439.99 to $949.99 on sale depending on the model. Below is every mattress Costco West (B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) and Costco East (Ontario and Atlantic Canada) fan blogs photographed from January 2025 to October 2026, by size, with what we'd buy at each budget.

Which mattresses does Costco Canada sell?

In the warehouse, four brands:

• Sealy Posturepedic innerspring mattresses in twin, double and queen, the budget end of the aisle
• GhostBed Majestic 14-inch memory foam, queen and king, delivered in a box
• Serta Five Star Hybrid, queen
• Kirkland Signature by Stearns & Foster, queen, the premium pick

Online, Costco.ca adds more: Serta links to a range of Serta, Perfect Sleeper and iDream models sold through Costco.ca, and Casper said in January 2025 that its Casper Select cooling memory foam mattress was sold on Costco.ca in king only, at $1,149.99. Novaform's ComfortGrande Advanced was in warehouses in spring 2025 (queen $499.99 after $200 off) but hasn't appeared since. We found no Casper in Canadian warehouses. How much is a mattress at Costco by size?

Two patterns stand out. Prices rose in 2026: the GhostBed queen went from $649.99 to $749.99 regular, and the Stearns & Foster queen from $999.99 to $1,199.99. And Costco Canada's warehouse range is thin in king: only the GhostBed showed up in a king size.

Which Costco mattress should you buy?

Our take, by budget, at sale prices:

• Kids' room or guest bed, under $300: a Sealy Posturepedic twin at $199.99 or double at $279.99 to $319.99. Basic innerspring, and the cheapest new mattress in the warehouse.
• Best value queen, about $440: the Sealy Posturepedic Catarina at $439.99 to $469.99. Traditional springs and the lowest queen price of the year.
• Memory foam, $500 to $600: the GhostBed Majestic, 14 inches thick, arrives rolled in a box you can carry in a car. Pick it if you like a soft, hugging feel.
• Hybrid, about $530: the Serta Five Star Hybrid, springs under foam, on sale now.
• Premium, $750 to $950: the Kirkland Signature by Stearns & Foster, for a firmer, more traditional luxury bed. The $250 sales come round several times a year, so never buy it at full price.

Lie on the floor model first if your warehouse has one, and if it's wrong after a few weeks, Costco takes it back (see below).

When are Costco mattresses on sale?

Most of the year, model by model. In 12 months every warehouse mattress we tracked had at least three sales, usually lasting three to four weeks, and the same model typically came back on sale two to four months later. Black Friday isn't special for mattresses at Costco: in 2025 the GhostBed queen and king were cut ($499.99 and $599.99, November 24 to December 7), but the Stearns & Foster sale had ended on November 2, and the Sealy Catarina's sale came at Boxing Day instead ($469.99, December 19 to January 18). Clearance prices end in .97, like the GhostBed king at $549.97 in June 2026.

Does Costco sell mattress toppers, pads and protectors?

Toppers and pads, yes; we found no mattress protectors in Canadian warehouse photos in 2025 or 2026, so look on Costco.ca for those. The toppers are regular sale items:

Does Costco sell air mattresses and folding beds?

One of each, as far as the fan blogs show. The Sealy AlwayzAire air mattress was $149.99 with $50 off from December 1 to 24, 2025 in Western Canada, against $199.99 to $219.99 regular. For a folding guest bed, the Sealy Flip multi-purpose mat was $44.99 on sale in 2025 and cleared at $29.97 that July. We found no Intex air beds, camping cots or bunk beds in Canadian warehouses; those searches mostly turn up U.S. listings.

Can you return a mattress to Costco?

Yes. Mattresses fall under Costco's satisfaction guarantee with no set deadline, unlike TVs and appliances; Savvy New Canadians notes Costco takes mattress returns "even after 90 days". How do you return a mattress to Costco?

• Bought in the warehouse: take it to the membership counter at a Costco warehouse with the membership card you bought it on. A receipt helps, but Costco can look up purchases made on your membership.
• Bought on Costco.ca: take it to a warehouse with your order confirmation, or start a return under Orders & Returns on Costco.ca. For a large item like a mattress the carrier calls within 1 to 2 weeks to book a pickup, and Costco says the pickup and refund can take up to 3 to 4 weeks, back to your original payment method.
• Can't move it yourself: a queen or king rarely fits in a car, and a foam mattress won't go back in its box. An independent helper with a truck can take it back for you; see Costco return help.
